"Legend of the Goat Moon" - Goat Silhouette and Full Moon
This photograph took over 2 years of attempts. Nearly every full moon I would head down to this spot near Keauhou bay where the wild goats hang out. With a 1200mm telephoto setup there’s always just a short window with the moon in the right spot. The goats also have to end up at the exact location for the alignment while I scramble to get the camera position right. There are often clouds in this direction too.
There are so many variables that it has taken me around 30 attempts over a 2 year span to finally capture this frame!
