"Pu'uO'o Lava Fields" Lava flows, Pu'uO'o and Full Moon
During the Summer Solstice of 2016 on the second of two extreme adventures hiking from the coast all the way up to within a mile of the infamous Pu’uO’o vent, I was able to capture this photograph as the moon was dropping behind the volcano. The weather was beautiful as the moonlight stretched across the active lava fields. This is one of my all time favorite captures and adventures.
